Magpies wait on Joey

Newcastle will hand a late fitness to Joey Barton before naming their side to take on Sheffield Wednesday tonight.
Barton injured his foot in Saturday's 3-0 win over Reading and Chris Hughton will hand him a late fitness test, while Danny Guthrie and Nicky Butt are back in the squad.
"We're still waiting on Joey, but the good news is Danny Guthrie's in the squad, and Nicky Butt's not far away," said Hughton. "The only one we're waiting on is Joey. We'll make a late decision on him. We're fortunate that we don't really have any other problems."
Elsewhere, Hughton also has to decide whether to hand Danny Simpson his debut after snapping the player up on loan from Manchester United.
