Martins makes SJP exit

Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins has joined German champions Wolfsburg on a four-year deal while Mark Viduka's linked with Portsmouth.

The Magpies are in danger of starting their Championship campaign seriously short of firepower, with Michael Owen now at Manchester United and Martins making the switch to the Bundesliga.
Martins has moved for an undisclosed fee to end a three-year spell on Tyneside.
Meanwhile, Pompey are said to be ready to offer Aussie veteran Viduka a one-year deal to beat off competition from Hull City.
