Newcastle United have reportedly received no offers for Demba Ba and have no plans to sell the striker this summer.
The Senegalese hitman was one of the main reasons why the Toon finished fifth in the Premier League last season and as such there has been plenty of speculation about his future. Rumours have suggested Ba has a £7million release clause in his contract, something Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly keen to exploit. However, a senior source has now revealed Newcastle haven't been contacted in a formal or informal capacity about Ba or any of their star men, claiming it would be a "bad time" for the club to sell. The Toon have also rubbished talk of Chelsea being after Hatem Ben Arfa and are confident the French forward will be at St James' Park next season. While Newcastle are open to selling their big name players the current financial position of the club means they wouldn't do so unless a big offer comes in.
