Newcastle's Habib Beye is delighted he will be able to face Sunderland but has refused to condemn Rob Styles for his red-card error.
The Senegal international was sent off early on during the 2-2 draw with Man City last weekend even though he appeared to have won the ball in a challenge on Robinho which saw the Brazilian win a penalty.
Beye has now seen the FA overturn the dismissal and his ban but has put no blame on referee Styles.
He told The Sun: "I don't have any bitterness against the ref. He is human like all of us. We all make mistakes. But I knew when I made the tackle that it was 100 per cent right. I wouldn't have gone for it if I didn't think I'd get the ball - which I did.
"I was really upset at the time. I'd been out injured for two months and to miss the rest of the City game and then realise I could be out of the Sunderland match as well was so disappointing."
Beye added: "But the FA have shown that the ref made an error and corrected it. I am now very happy at the outcome."
