Nolan can hit right Toon - Hughton

Newcastle United, 16:14, March 20, 2009 ,

Midfielder Kevin Nolan will return from a three-game suspension for Newcastle's clash with Arsenal at St James' Park on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has not featured after picking up a straight red card for a nasty tackle on Everton's Victor Anichebe in a recent home game and the Magpies have only managed one point - at Hull last Saturday - in his absence. Therefore caretaker boss Chris Hughton is set to restore him into the starting XI for the Gunners clash.
Joey Barton remains sidelined but is making progress from his foot injury and the final five games of the campaign are his target for a return. However Hughton is looking forward to getting Nolan back in the side as the Magpies sit in 16th position but are only clear of the relegation zone on goal difference.
He told the club's website: "Kevin is an honest lad and we all knew after the sending-off incident that he held his hand up. He knew he had caught the lad and it was a typical Kevin response straight afterwards to apologize.
"It was a shame because we were able to see what he is capable of doing in a short period and we have missed him.
"He's a big personality and a good character to have around.
"He's also a lad that's been in this situation before and I'm sure there'll be value in that for us."
