N'Zogbia's Hammers chance

Newcastle United, 15:27, January 5, 2009 ,

Charles N'Zogbia could be fit for Saturday's home clash with West Ham, but Chris Hughton is not expecting any more fitness boosts.

The Frenchman picked up a dead leg in the FA Cup scrap with Hull City on Saturday but should be ready to figure in Joe Kinnear's depleted line-up against the Hammers.
N'Zogbia could be pitched straight back in with Nicky Butt now suspended after he was shown his fifth yellow card of the season against the Tigers.
United assistant boss Chris Hughton revealed the injury, although painful for the Frenchman, was just a dead leg.
"Charles was a blow, but we're hoping he's going to be OK," he told the Chronicle.
"He's got a dead leg, and he was very sore and stiff after the game.
"But that's the nature of the injury.
"We're optimistic he'll be OK for next week, but he certainly won't be doing much training."
Hughton does not expect any of the other injured Magpies to recover from their problems before the visit of Gianfranco Zola's men.
"I'm not sure there are too many coming back for the next couple of weeks," he said.
"It's thin, and at the moment we're one short because of suspension as well.
"It's a question of trying to get players back as quickly as we can and not picking up any more injuries."
