Owen still out

Newcastle United, 10:38, August 22, 2008 ,

Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan does not expect Michael Owen to be fit to face Bolton at St James' Park.

The England striker has been struggling with a pre-season calf injury and Keegan will not risk him unless he is right.
"Michael probably won't be fit, and Mark Viduka certainly won't be," said the Magpies chief.
"I probably could rush Michael back, and then knock him back five or six weeks.
"We're probably strong enough to do without the two of them. But when they come back, it'll give us a massive boost," Keegan also told the Echo.
Defender Steven Taylor has shaken off the ankle problem which kept him out of England's Under-21s' win over Slovenia on Tuesday at Hull's KC Stadium.
