Newcastle are among the clubs showing an interest in Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, who could be on the move this summer.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew is keen to sign a new midfielder and it comes as no surprise to see him linked with the Kenyan who was outstanding in the SPL last season. The 20-year-old only signed for the Hoops 12 months ago when they paid Belgian side Beerschot AC just £1million for his signature and they could face a battle to keep hold of him. The player's agent has confirmed his client is happy at Celtic but is open to a move away and is likely to jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League. Newcastle are not the only interested club though as Liverpool, Stoke, QPR and West Ham are also said to be tracking him. "That has been a lot of talk which is not necessarily true," Rob Moore told Sky Sports. "But he is like any other young talented footballer in that he wants to play at the highest level. "He has made the club aware that if they receive an offer from one of the big leagues he would like them to consider it. He is not unhappy at Celtic, far from it - he loves the club and everything has been great for him since he moved but should something come in he feels they should listen."
