Striker boost for Hughton

Newcastle have been boosted by the news Andy Carroll has made a quicker than expected recovery and will face Blackpool.
Carroll has missed the last four matches for the Magpies with a groin problem but he has now returned to the squad for the trip to Bloomfield Road to face the Seasiders.
"In all honesty, we thought the Blackpool game would be too soon for him, but he's had two good sessions, and is in the squad," Hughton told the club's website.
Although the 20-year-old is now fit, Hughton has revealed that he is looking to bolster his forward options following the news Shola Ameobi has been ruled until December, with Fulham's Diomansy Kamara one of his targets.
