Tigers in Owen's sights

Newcastle United, 12:22, February 20, 2009 ,

Newcastle striker Michael Owen is targeting the Hull trip on March 14 for his comeback from ankle ligament damage suffered last month.

The out-of-favour England international has missed the last three-and-a-half weeks as his injury problems continue, but the 29-year-old is hoping to boost the side's battle against relegation in the middle of next month.
Owen expects to return to full training at the start of March and should he suffer no setback, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid forward will be available for key clashes with Stoke, Tottenham and Portsmouth in April.
The Magpies selection problems are starting to clear up and Owen's fellow forwards, Mark Viduka, Alan Smith and Obafemi Martins, are even closer to comebacks of their own.
