Cheick Tiote has said he "will wait and see" where his long-term future lies after being linked with a summer move away from Newcastle.

The Ivory Coast international has been one of the stand-out performers for the Magpies this season and has regularly bossed the midfield for Alan Pardew's side. As a result of his performances, he has been linked with a move to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City but, with Newcastle on the verge of securing a top-four finish, Tiote sees no reason why to leave St James' Park. However, despite insisting he can achieve his goals in the north east, he admits he will think about his future over the summer. "Yes, I can achieve what I want to here," he told The Journal. "I don't know about the speculation. "I have four games to play, I think I have to focus on the games because they are important games for the club and for everybody. After the season, we will see." Tiote only signed a six-year contract at Newcastle in February 2011 and, despite the speculation, the Magpies will do all they can to keep hold of him after what has been an impressive campaign.
