Newcastle have been boosted by the news Cheik Tiote is fit and available for Saturday's clash with Stoke City.

Tiote has been struggling with a hamstring injury that he picked up against Swansea on Good Friday but has trained all week and is expected to go straight back into the starting line up. Boss Alan Pardew now has to decide who will make way for Tiote with James Perch likely to be left out as he is thought to be carrying a knock, so makes it an easy decision for the Toon boss. Danny Guthrie is also struggling so Yohan Cabaye and Jonas Gutierez will make up the midfield along with Tiote. Elsewhere, Newcastle have also been boosted by the news that Leon Best and Sylvain Marveaux have stepped up their return to fitness and are now back in training but the game against the Potters will come too soon.
