Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has ruled out allowing goalkeeper Steve Harper to leave amid reported interest from Celtic.
The Bhoys are said to be keen on the Newcastle keeper but Hughton has dismissed any speculation Harper could leave St James' Park this summer.
He said: "Steve Harper has been a wonderful servant for this football club. He, I think, more than anybody is delighted to see the club back in the Premiership and it's a wonderful opportunity for him.
"He was in very good form last season, he was one of our big players, and we look forward to him having a good Premiership season."
Newcastle have only secured the services of defender James Perch, from Nottingham Forest, since the end of last season but Hughton expects to do some more business soon and punters may wish to use their free bet to back Newcastle to avoid the drop.
