Toon target three more

Newcastle United, 11:15, July 23, 2010

Newcastle boss Chris Hughton says the arrival of Dan Gosling will not be the last new signing this summer.

Hughton has landed Gosling on a free transfer from Everton after the player penned a four-year deal but he still wants to bring a defender, midfielder and striker to the club before the window closes.
The Magpies boss is refusing to name his targets but Tom Cleverley, Jlloyd Samuel and Sol Campbell are reported to be on his wanted list.
"We are working very hard behind the scenes and I'm very confident that we will be able to bring in what we need to bring in," Hughton said.
"It is a work in progress but we're making enquiries. I said at the end of last season we don't need very many, and yes I would anticipate it to be less than five (coming in).
"If someone becomes available that may change, but I think we already have a good squad here and anyone coming in has to add to that. I think everyone appreciates that the days of big spending are in the past at this particular time."
