Wideman tipped for start
Newcastle United, 14:47, November 20, 2008 ,
Joe Kinnear has indicated that Charles N'Zogbia is in line to start Saturday's clash with Chelsea, after impressing the manager.
N'Zogbia came off the bench to set up Obafemi Martins' goal in last weekend's 2-2 with Wigan and may have done enough to earn himself a recall for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old is battling with Jose Enrique for a start down the left and N'Zogbia's substitute display may have seen him move ahead in the pecking order.
The versatile wideman has not started a game since Newcastle's visit to Everton in early October, but could be given a chance to impress against the league leaders.
Kinnear revealed: "I have been very impressed by Charles N'Zogbia's attitude, and he'll come into my thoughts when I pick the team for Saturday.
"I think his main problem has been that he wants to play on the left wing, but this has been difficult because Damien Duff and Jonas Gutierrez have both done well out there in our recent matches.
"But he did well enough when he came on against Wigan, and this will have done his confidence no harm."
