Cardiff for Cobblers in cup

Northampton have been handed a home draw against Cardiff in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

Aidy Boothroyd's side will host last season's beaten finalists at Sixfields in the week commencing August 13.
Cardiff lost on penalties to Liverpool in the Wembley showpiece in February, and the Bluebirds suffered more heartache last month as they were comprehensively beaten by West Ham in the npower Championship play-offs.
Boothroyd steered Northampton clear of relegation from the Football League last term after taking over as manager at the end of November.
