Cobblers' coup as Platt signs
Northampton Town,

Northampton have agreed to sign Coventry striker Clive Platt on a two-year deal.
The 34-year-old made 33 league appearances for the Sky Blues last season, scoring four times.
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd, who worked with the 6ft 4in forward at Coventry, told the club's official website: "Clive is a player I know well and he is the most under-rated player I have ever managed.
"I'm always happy to bring players in who are above the level we're playing at and I think Clive is one of those.
"He is very experienced, he is a leader on and off the pitch, he has a fantastic attitude and anyone who can score more than 100 goals and play more than 600 games is someone to respect.
"He was my number one target in the centre-forward position and it's not often you sign your number one target. I'm very pleased to reach this agreement."
