Canaries new keeper in line for start

Norwich City, 12:47, August 28, 2009 ,

Fraser Forster could make his debut for Norwich against Hartlepool after being signed on loan from Newcastle with Ben Alnwick a doubt.

The Canaries regular number one Alnwick picked up a nasty facial injury following a collision with Sunderland striker Frazier Campbell during the 4-1 Carling Cup defeat on Monday.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert has confirmed that Forster, 21, will join up with the squad when they head to the north east for the game at Victoria Park after agreeing to join the club on a months loan.
"I saw him play a few times last season and he did terrific at Stockport and he's done well at Bristol Rovers. He's a big lad," said Lambert. "He knows the league, knows what it's about."
Elsewhere, Lambert will be without the services of Owain Tudur Jones who has a calf strain while Matthew Gill is still recovering from a knee injury.
