Canaries striker boost

James Vaughan is back in contention for Norwich's trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, but Zak Whitbread remains a doubt.

Vaughan returns to the Canaries squad for the clash at Ewood Park after a long-term knee injury and recent hamstring problems. Former Liverpool and Millwall man Whitbread (calf) remains a doubt for the Premier League match against relegation-threatened Rovers. Defenders Marc Tierney (groin) and Daniel Ayala (knee) are ruled out of the remainder of the season. Ryan Bennett could continue at the back, despite a couple of mistakes against Manchester City last weekend, while John Ruddy has also been given a vote of confidence by boss Paul Lambert.
