Norwich City have said goodbye to Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa after they were handed the chance to join Paul Lambert at Aston Villa.
The duo are reunited with the former Canaries boss after working with him previously for the last six years during his time in charge of Wycombe, Colchester and City. Culverhouse will take up a similar role as Assistant Manager at Villa Park, while Karsa will again be employed by Lambert as head of football operations. Norwich Chief Executive David McNally told the club's official website: "We'd certainly like to place on record our sincere gratitude and appreciation of the work that Ian and Gary did with Paul to help lift us from the foot of League One to the Barclays Premier League. "They've played a full part in a memorable and exciting era for the Club and I'm sure all Norwich fans will join everybody at Carrow Road and Colney in wishing them all the best for the future." Culverhouse made his name as a right-back with City between 1985 and 1994 before beginning his coaching career at Brighton. The 47-year-old came back to Carrow Road for his second spell, as Lambert's number two, when the Scot was appointed as the club's manager in August 2009.
