Michael Turner has completed his move to Norwich from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.

Turner has signed a two-year deal and becomes the Canaries' fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Jacob Butterfield, Steven Whittaker, and Robert Snodgrass at Carrow Road. The 28-year-old defender moved to Sunderland in 2009 and impressed during his first season but a succession of injuries and a loss of form saw him slip down the pecking order. Turner also has Premier League experience from his three-year stint with Hull and Norwich boss Chris Hughton is overjoyed with his new recruit. "I'm delighted to be able to bring Michael into the squad as he is a player with a wealth of Premier League experience," Hughton told the club's official website. "At 28 years old he is joining us at a good age, and I'm happy to have been able to welcome him to Norwich City. "Like with Snodgrass, Butterfield, and Whittaker, it's nice to bring players in with a good amount of time left in pre-season so they are able to gel with the squad ahead of the first game of the season."
