Defender Sebastien Bassong intends to make the most of his fresh start at Norwich.
The Cameroon defender, 26, joined the Canaries from Tottenham earlier this week in what is understood to be a club-record deal of around £4million. Despite helping Spurs qualify for the Champions League, Bassong found himself slipping down the defensive order at White Hart Lane, culminating in a loan spell at Wolves last season. There were other options for the French-born Cameroon international, and having settled on a switch to Norfolk in a three-year deal, it is an opportunity Bassong intends to seize. "This is a fresh start for me, and maybe we will now see the real Sebastien Bassong here," he said. "When I signed for Tottenham, it was quite a big fee and we played a good season, getting into the Champions League, then it went bad a bit. "Now, I am just looking to be a good player who can add something to the team."
