Holt: We have a 'team target'
Norwich City, 17:17, February 9, 2010 ,
Norwich striker Grant Holt doesn't mind if Chris Martin scores more goals than him this season as long as the Canaries go up.
Martin has scored six goals in six games for Norwich and has had the added responsibility of leading Norwich's attack in Holt's absence, as the Canaries captain was serving a three match suspension.
Martin, 21, has found the net 19 times this season and with Holt on 23 the battle is on to become Norwich's leading scorer at the end of the season.
However, Holt, who is back in contention ahead of Saturday's trip to Brighton, insists he doesn't care who finishes as the club's leading scorer as long as Norwich win promotion.
He said: "We all know how good Chris is and, I've said before, I wouldn't be surprised if he catches me, the form he's in,
"Our target is a team target, to get promoted. If Chris Martin goes on and is top scorer and scores 30-odd goals I'll be absolutely made up for him because that would probably achieve promotion, which is our main goal."
