Hughton concern at Whittaker injury

Chris Hughton hopes Steven Whittaker's ankle injury is not too serious after he limped off in the first-half of the win over Celtic.

Grant Holt's late strike gave the visitors the 1-0 win but Hughton was concerned with new signing Whittaker who went straight up the tunnel after coming off. "We will find out over the next couple of days. What he has done is roll his ankle," said Hughton. "We are hoping it is not going to be too bad but generally with these things, you don't know until the next couple of days to you see how it settles down. "He has settled in really well but it would be a blow, whether it is Steven or anyone at this stage to be without them for whatever period."
