Lambert eyes Scottish hitman
Norwich City are believed to be one of several clubs interested in signing Scottish striker Kris Boyd on a free transfer in January.
Canaries boss Paul Lambert is an admirer of the 28-year-old ex-Rangers striker who is available for nothing after ripping up his contract with Turkish side Eskisehirspor following a dispute over unpaid wages.
Boyd's recent goalscoring record is not great as he underwent lean spells at Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest before his unhappy Turkish experience.
But Lambert believes he can rediscover his happy knack of finding the back of the net - as he did regularly for Kilmarnock when the Norwich boss was concluding his playing career with Celtic and Livingston.
Boyd is believed to be on the wanted list of both Glasgow clubs with Celtic boss Neil Lennon expressing an interest while ex-Rangers boss Walter Smith claims he would do well back at Ibrox.
