New Dickinson raid rebuffed
Norwich City, 13:03, July 3, 2009 ,
A second bid from Norwich City for Derby County striker Liam Dickinson has been snubbed as being too 'small'.
The Canaries are hoping to take the 23-year-old to Carrow Road to help fire them out of League One at the first attempt next season. However, while the Rams would be willing to sell Dickinson, who joined for £700,000 from Stockport last summer, they are looking to recoup the money they paid out for his services.
Therefore Norwich will have to offer somewhere in the region of that amount for the player who has not kicked a ball in anger for the Championship side and spent time on loan at Huddersfield, Blackpool and Leeds last term.
Derby chairman Adam Pearson told his club's official website: "Norwich are showing some interest in Liam and have made two small offers.
"If the offer is somewhere close to what we feel is acceptable, we would consider it but the offers have not been at that level."
