New man confirms cut backs
Norwich City, 19:08, June 25, 2009 ,
Norwich's chief executive David McNally has confirmed job cuts will be made at Carrow Road to help Bryan Gunn in the transfer market.
McNally, who started his new role with the Canaries this week, says the harsh reality of relegation to League One means that non-football redundancies are now inevitable.
The job losses will be made to help find extra funds for the manager's squad rebuilding and McNally admits it will be a tough time ahead over the coming weeks.
Speaking to the EDP, the new chief executive revealed: "There are some really tough decisions being made internally to that end.
"We would have liked to have avoided that if we could, but we just don't have as much money as we did, given the league we are now playing in.
"It doesn't get much tougher than that and we're working our way through that."
