Andrew Surman believes Norwich's recent performances should give supporters hope they can beat the drop this season.

The Canaries midfielder believes the last three matches, while they haven't produced a win, should have given a clear indication Chris Hughton's men can compete with the top clubs in the division. The 26-year-old says he is excited with the way the squad is developing and that all that has been missing from recent games has been a few more goals. He told Canaries Player: "I think the performance [against West Ham] was great, as it has been for the last three games. We just not taking our chances at the moment. "I think the positives are there - we're creating chances and keeping clean sheets. The performances are good, we just need to convert some chances and I'm sure we'll be all right."
