Defender Elliott Ward is set to stay at Norwich for now after a proposed loan move to Bristol City collapsed over personal terms.
Robins boss Derek McInnes was hopeful of taking the central defender to Ashton Gate on a loan deal after just failing to land him before the transfer window slammed shut at 11pm on August 31.
However, it appears that Ward's switch failed to go through when the two parties could not agree terms so the stopper will remain at Carrow Road for the time being.
Ward enjoyed regular action in the Canaries' line-up under Paul Lambert's leadership last season, but new boss Chris Hughton has opted to partner Leon Barnett alongside new recruit Sebastien Bassong in the heart of defence so far this term.
Despite Ward failing to move to Bristol City there are rumoured to be several clubs in the Championship looking to take him on loan so he is expected to leave at some point.
