Nottingham Forest News and Results

Nottingham Forest take their name from the Forest Recreation Ground just north of the city centre which is where the team first played and is now the site of the annual Nottingham Goose Fair.

The club’s glory years came under legendary manager Brian Clough, who led the club to two consecutive European Cups, along with the domestic title and four League Cups. Forest have also won the FA Cup twice, in 1898 and 1959.

Clough’s teams played attractive football and featured attacking stars such as Garry Birtles, John Robertson and Trevor Francis.
