Billy reveals midfielder boost
Nottingham Forest, 17:40, March 10, 2010 ,
Forest have been boosted by the news skipper Paul McKenna's knee injury is not serious and he could play again this season.
It was feared the midfielder had suffered serious knee ligament damage that could rule him out for the season but even though scans have revealed there is medial ligament damage, it is not serious.
McKenna does not require surgery and although he is still facing some weeks on the sidelines, Davies says he will play again this season as the Reds push for the top flight.
"The extent of Paul's problem is not as bad as we first feared," Davies revealed. "He will be out of my plans for several weeks but knowing Paul as I do I wouldn't necessarily rule him out for the rest of the season."
