Davies looking for self improvement

Billy Davies believes he has become a better manager after steering Nottingham Forest to safety in the Championship last season.

Forest were firmly rooted in the relegation zone when Davies took over last year and were one of the favourites to go down following their promotion from League One the previous season.
However, despite having never managed a relegation-threatened side before, Davies helped Forest survive and believes everyone at the club will have benefited from their battle against the drop.
"Having spent the last three or four seasons competing at the top end of the table, I have to say it was very difficult to come in and manage a club in this position. It was a big test," Davies told the Evening Post.
"But it was a great experience. We have learned from it and we will be better for it in the future.
"It is more enjoyable at the top end than the bottom, I will tell you that. It is a different skill, but you can only get through it by experiencing it."
