County response pleases Curle

Notts County boss Keith Curle hailed his players' commitment after a 2-0 win at Bury.

The Magpies extended their unbeaten away streak to nine games thanks to goals from Lee Hughes and Alan Judge. "I'll be honest, we have the same gameplan at home as we do away and that's to stop the opposition and nullify their threats and then try to exploit their weaknesses," said Curle. "The effort and commitment from the players was excellent. "Getting beat at home last week upset us, we didn't like it. The most important thing for me was to get a response from the players. "Credit to Bury and the way they played. They stuck to their gameplan, flooded the midfield and had good movement and good rotation in their play. Even though we got the early start from a free-kick, they caused us problems. "We needed to nullify their gameplan and catch them on the break and I think we did that. There's a unity that's building and you get that from coming to places like Bury. Make no mistake, this is not an easy place to come to."
