Curle grafting in the market
Notts County boss Keith Curle insists his attempts to bring in new faces remain ongoing.
Curle is currently with the Magpies at a pre-season training camp in Spain where he will continue to track potential targets. "It's work in progress, myself and Jim (Rodwell, chief executive) have been speaking to the players and their representatives," he told the club's official website. "It's ongoing but unfortunately nowadays it doesn't happen that you ring a player and the player says 'yes' and it's done within 24 hours. "Players have got options, players have got agents and obviously we've got budgets and guidelines that we've got to work to. I do a lot of work on my phone throughout the summer - it's never off, it's on 24 hours a day. "I speak to a lot of agents and make a few enquiries myself to find out not only if the player is good enough ability-wise, sometimes it's about character as well. There's an atmosphere in and around the football club that I want to build on."
