Oldham boss Paul Dickov struggled to take any positives despite Robbie Simpson's late penalty securing a 2-2 draw with Wycombe.
Wanderers were leading through goals from Joel Grant and Stuart Beavon which cancelled out Filipe Morais' opener for Oldham.
But Grant Basey missed a penalty for the hosts before Simpson stepped up to equalise after he was felled by Marvin McCoy.
Dickov said: "If you look at the clock at 88-89 minutes and see we're 2-1 down, you'd think we'd be delighted to take a point.
"But I'm a little bit disappointed because in the first half-hour when we were 1-0 up, we could have gone two or three up."
