Kuqi confident goals will come
Oldham striker Shefki Kuqi is confident his recent slump in front of goal can turn around.
Kuqi tops Latics' scoring charts this season with 13 goals in all competitions, but the last of those came 11 games ago against Bradford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, while the 35-year-old Finn has also missed his last two penalties.
"Obviously I'm pretty disappointed with how the last few games have gone for me, but that's football - you've got to bounce back," said Kuqi. "At the moment it seems to be really hard to score, not just for me but for us as a team.
"That's football sometimes - whatever you do it's not going to go in. Then other times it hits your shoulder, your chest or knee and bounces in."
Paul Dickov's side have displayed wasteful tendencies in front of goal during their recent outings, but as long as they keep creating chances Kuqi is confident the corner will be turned.
"As a centre forward I've always said that as long I've got chances in the game then it doesn't bother me that much because I know that one day they will go in," he added. "When you don't have chances, you don't score goals and that's the worst thing."
