Luke Campbell has admitted he is proud of reaching the final of the men's bantamweight division although nothing but gold will do.

The Yorkshire boxer is desperate to claim Olympic gold when he faces the Irishman John Joe Nevin at 20:45 tonight in what should be a pretty even contest. These two boxers do have a bit of history but it was Campbell who came out on top the last time they met in the semi-finals of the World Championships last year. Campbell is determined to beat Nevin in the final to cap off a fine competition for the 24-year-old, who has looked in fine form through the previous rounds. He said: "It's all about the gold medal for me now and it's always the case that I get better in each fight in a tournament. "But I'm proud of what I've done so far and I'm happy to make my family proud and my little lad and my home town of Hull."
