Great Britain's swimmers secured another one-two finish at the European Championships with Gemma Spofforth claiming gold on day four.
The 22-year-old held off team-mate Lizzie Simmonds to take the European crown in the women's 100m backstroke in a time of 59.80seconds as Britain's winners claimed another five medals in Budapest.
Spofforth's success was followed up by Liam Tancock taking silver in the 50m backstroke while Hannah Miley claimed bronze in the women's 200m individual medley.
Britain's women rounded off the day in fine style by clinching bronze in the 4X200m freestyle relay, finishing just behind gold medalists Hungary and France.
However, it wasn't smiles all round for some quarters of the British team with double Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington missing out on claiming the European gold in the 800m freestyle.
The 21-year-old finished seventh overall, over four seconds behind eventual winner Lotte Friss, and fought back the tears in her interview after the race.
"I'm finding it difficult to deal with the pressure, I'm still trying to find my feet after Beijing," said Adlington.
"I'm not using that as an excuse but I've got to find something that works for me, I can't always win and get a world record, that's not realistic."
