Higgins questions Crucible odds
John Higgins has questioned Judd Trump's status as the pre-tournament favourite for the Betfred.com Snooker World Championship.
The action is set to unfold at the Crucible from Saturday until the climax on May 7 at the famous Sheffield venue, with Trump looking to go one better than last year. The 22-year-old was beaten by John Higgins at the final hurdle 12 months ago but is now the world number two and as such Higgins claims he will be under more pressure and scrutiny. "I know why I'm not the favourite," said the Scot. "But making Judd the favourite? I think you could make the case for a lot of players. "You could make the case for Neil Robertson, for Mark Selby as world number one, for Ronnie O'Sullivan coming back to form." Higgins won the world title last season having served a six-month ban for failing to report an approach to breach snooker's betting rules.
