Tour de France winner and Olympic time-trial champion Bradley Wiggins will make his return to cycling at the Post Danmark Rundt.
The 32-year-old became the first Briton to win cycling's blue-riband road race event at the end of July, before returning to London to cap a remarkable 2012 by securing a Gold medal at the Olympics.
He will be joined by Mark Cavendish, who suffered Olympic road race disappointment just days after claiming a fourth consecutive final-stage victory in Paris - and 23rd overall.
The Champs Elysees victory saw the Isle of Man sprint specialist surpass seven-time Tour winner Lance Armstrong and Frenchman Andre Darrigade to move into fourth in the overall stage-win standings.
Olympics pursuit heroes Geraint Thomas and Peter Kennaugh are also in the eight-man Team Sky squad for the showpiece Danish event, which begins on August 22.
