U's draft in Ripley

Oxford United have signed Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley on an emergency loan.
The U's found themselves without a goalkeeper after reserve stopper Wayne Brown injured his knee in training on Thursday and with first-choice keeper Ryan Clarke having already been sidelined with injury. Ripley started his career at Blackburn Rovers before moving to Boro in 2010, since then he has made just two Championship appearances for the club. The England under-19's international will link up with The U's instantly and the youngster believes this will give him some much needed first team football experience.
