Peterborough captain Grant McCann and star names Paul Taylor and George Boyd are among eight players made available for transfer by manager Darren Ferguson.
Northern Ireland international McCann, 32, still has 12 months remaining on his current deal at London Road and had been keen to end his career with Posh, but Ferguson has deemed him surplus to requirements and will now look to get a fee for his services. As he will for forwards Taylor and Boyd, who have both failed to agree new contracts with just a year remaining on their current agreements and will now command sizeable transfer fees. Mark Little, David Ball, Scott Griffiths, Nicky Ajose and Matthew Breeze have also been told they have no future with Peterborough and their names have been circulated to rival clubs. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Joe Lewis and striker Danny Mills have both been released with their current terms set to expire in the summer.
