Boyd reveals move delight
Peterborough United, 17:25, March 3, 2010 ,
George Boyd says the decision to join Forest from Peterborough was a 'no brainer' and is looking forward to a promotion push
Boyd has joined Forest on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent move and says it did not take him long to make his mind up as soon as Billy Davies came knocking.
Barring a miracle Peterborough will be heading back to League One at the end of the campaign, while Forest could be in the Premiership next season and Boyd did not need asking twice.
"To go from scrapping every week to survive to joining a team where I can express myself and enjoy my football - hopefully in a winning side - is a move every professional would take," he said.
"It was not something I had to think about for long. I am just excited now to start playing. It is a massive club with a huge history. And the fact that they are pushing for a place in the Premiership made a real difference.
"Peterborough are obviously down at the bottom of the table. So to go from that to a promotion race was a no-brainer."
