Ferguson handed four-year deal
Peterborough United, 09:32, July 10, 2009 ,
Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson and his backroom staff have signed new four-year deals at London Road.
The Posh manager has been rewarded by chairman Darragh MacAnthony for achieving back-to-back promotions and also rejecting the chance to talk to West Brom over their recent managerial vacancy.
Ferguson told the club's website: "'I have always said I am happy here, I have said before that I believe there is unfinished business here and the aim now is to try and get into the Premier League.
"Everybody has put a lot of hard work into the club, the chairman has spent a lot of money and gave me my chance in management. It was then up to me to be successful and that is the way it has gone."
Assistant manager Kevin Russell, goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble, physiotherapist Keith Oakes and strength and conditioning coach Scott Taylor have also been handed long-term deals.
