Keeper keen to stay on

Peterborough United, 18:24, March 8, 2010 ,

Joe Lewis says he has no plans to leave London Road anytime soon but may move in the future to boost his England chances.

The Posh keeper has earned rave reviews for his performances this season but the 22-year-old claims he is happy to stay with Peterborough.
However, Lewis admits he hopes to break into the England squad eventually and believes he will have to move to a Premier League side if he is to stand a chance of being called up by the national side.
He said: "I want to play for England, but I think you have to be playing regularly in the Premier League if you want to do that,
"Robert Green was in the squad when he was in the Championship, but I honestly don't think Fabio Capello is going to pick a goalkeeper if they are not playing at the highest level.
"But I have still got two years on my contract here and, unless I am told otherwise, I am planning to stay and see it through."
