Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is set to freshen up his side for the Capital One Cup trip to Reading after the club's worst start to a season in 40 years.
Posh have yet to pick up a point in their three league games and Ferguson is looking to use the cup as a chance to try different ideas. "The results in the league mean I may totally freshen things up for the cup game," he told the Peterborough Telegraph. "It is important we get something at Birmingham in our next league game and that will be in my mind when I pick the team. "There are players who have been knocking on the door and it may well be the case that they get their chance." Summer signings Danny Swanson, Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Jonson Clarke-Harris could all be in line for full debuts. Striker Tyrone Barnett (hamstring) is unlikely to be risked.
