Striker seeks loan move

Peterborough United, 11:42, February 25, 2010 ,

Peterborough could be ready to let striker Craig Mackail-Smith go out on loan after the recent signing of Liam Dickinson from Brighton.

The 26-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at London Road following the appointment of Jim Gannon as manager, who has also changed the tactics.
Mackail-Smith is desperate to be involved but isn't the type of player to be content waiting in reserve.
Director of football Barry Fry said: "He'll want to play football. The manager's got no problem with letting him go on loan."
"I've had a word with the lad and I understand his concerns but there's a lot of games coming up.
"If he gets frustrated we have to make a decision about whether it's in his interests, or our interests, to let him go out and play football."
Meanwhile, defender Gabby Zakuani came through 60 minutes of reserve football and should be fit to travel to Swansea this weekend.
