Williams departs Posh on loan

Peterborough United, 16:25, November 9, 2009 ,

QPR boss Jim Magilton claims Tommy Williams is a player of 'calibre and experience' after signing him on loan from Peterborough United.

The 29-year-old left-back, who has already had two spells with the R's, has agreed to make the switch to Loftus Road until January 4 after Posh boss Darren Ferguson snapped up Dagenham defender Scott Griffiths last month.
"When we heard that Tommy might be available on loan, there was no holding us back," Magilton told the club's official website.
"We couldn't be more delighted to bring in a player of his calibre and experience."
Williams, who is out of contract next summer at London Road and could secure a permanent deal if he impresses, said: "I enjoyed my time here previously and I can't wait to pull on the jersey and hopefully cement my place in the side.
"There's a very strong squad of players here, but the club's ambitions match my own and I genuinely believe we can build on the fantastic start the lads have made to the season."
