Zakuani earns Posh praise
Manager Darren Ferguson has hailed Gaby Zakuani's commitment after the defender played through the pain barrier against Southampton.
Zakuani, who has struggled for much of the campaign with a broken toe, was a surprise inclusion in the Posh team to face Southampton on Tuesday night three days after dislocating his shoulder.
Ferguson's side are guaranteed second tier football for another season despite losing 3-1 to the title chasing Saints.
The Posh boss said: "Gaby is a credit to his profession. He sets a fantastic example to young players. I had ruled him out, but the doctor telephoned me on Monday night to say Gaby wanted to play and of course I agreed."
