Fletcher admits Pilgrims pinched a point

Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher was a relieved man after watching his team come under pressure for lengthy periods but escape with a 0-0 draw against Dagenham.
It took Dagenham 20 minutes or so to get into the game, but once they did they took command in a big way. Dwight Gayle, Michael Spillane and Brian Woodhall kept goalkeeper Jake Cole and the entire Pilgrims defence busy, with only a late Matt Lecointe chance in stoppage time getting the travelling supporters excited. "It was an off night for us. We've nicked a point," said Fletcher. "We've had to defend and they missed some chances. It was an off night, we'll learn from it and move on. The lads kept going and working hard. Things didn't come off but sometimes you get that in football. "The positives are that we kept a clean sheet and got a point away from home. "We played ten times better on Saturday and didn't get anything. We were worse and got a point. It's the way football is."
